Otter is returning to Lent

For the second time otter and her friends will present themselves at Lent. Our stand will be open to visit tomorrow, 5th July 2013, from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm in Mestni park, Maribor. The stand will be filled with life, since we are going to present freshwater biodiversity. With the help of magnifier you will be able to observe smaller freshwater inhabitants, you can touch crayfish claws, count otters claws and much more. For the end you will have a chance to make yourself otter's mask and change into adept water marten.
Aquaviva among kayakers and canoeists

From 13th to 16th June 2013 ICF Wildwater Canoeing sprint world championship took place in Solkan. On Friday, 16th of June, we joined the event to represent the project Aquaviva. We participated in the accompanying educational program, where we presented the project with two stands. The organizers have invited nearby primary and secondary schools. Five primary schools have responded the invitation and also visited our stand. At the first stand we were presenting the biodiversity of underwater and riparian stream life, while on the other we performed water experiments. Picnic time for Aquaviva

Finally the weather obeyed and 3rd eco family picnic (3. eko družinskega piknika) came to life. After postponement the event took place on 8th June 2013 in Bio park Nivo in Žalec. Project Aquaviva was represented with a stand, which presented the diversity of aquatic life. Otter, beaver, dragonfly, crayfish, ... some of them we caught in nearby pond so children could get to know their mysterious neighbours. To get a taste of what was going on, visit our gallery.
