Between 19^th and 21^st April 2013 was held 8^th International hunting and fishing fair in Gornja Radgona. Lutra Institute has presented at this event for the second time in a row. At the stand we presented our previous and current work, including project Aquaviva. Visitors to the fair were able to see an exhibition about the otter, the ambassador of the project. At the stand they can learn more about the biodiversity of fresh waters and receive promotional materials. Participation in the exhibition was free of charge, thanks to Pomurski sejem, d.d.

Participation in cleaning action Ljubljanica 2013

On Saturday, 20^th April 2013, we joined 22^nd Traditional cleaning action Ljubljanica 2013, which was organized by DPA Vivera. Whilst divers were diligently cleaning the underwater world Ljubljanica, the project team Aquaviva had placed educational stand in Ljubljana at Šuštar Bridge. We were presenting aquatic invertebrates, which are often overlooked and unknown, because of its small size. Using magnifiers and magnifying glasses, visitors easily saw the larvae of various insects, amphipods, turbellaria...

Also this year we were active on Earth Day. Besides having a stand at international fair LOV, we hosted a group of students. Students of Biology and Ecology with Nature Conservation, University of Maribor, visited Aqualutra centre on 19^th April 2013. We presented them our institute, as an example of non-governmentl and non-profit organization that obtains different projects. They got familiar if LIFE financial mechanism through our previous Life project, Aqualutra, and current Life project, Aquaviva.

In the afternoon we met with pupils from primary school Bakovci. Their visit included a walk around Hodoš lake, where an educational path is set, "With otter to cleaner water". Together we were doscovering the biodiversty of Hodoš lake. Photos are available in the gallery of primary school Bakovec (photos 114-144, on pages 6-8).
