Eco day in Aqualutra center

On Thursday, 5^th June 2014, on World Environment Day, students of bilingual elementary school Prosenjakovci from Goričko region, visited Aqualutra center, where we prepared ecological day with otter.

Ecological day was attended by students from 1^st to 9^th grade. The youngsters spent the day at Hodoš lake, where they learned about the diversity of aquatic life, observed water birds and chased dragonflies with butterfly net. For older students we first prepared short lecture on biodiversity of our waters. Later on they learned about otter and also made models of wetlands. They spent the rest of the day at the nearby stream, where they hunted and learned about aquatic animals. At the end they even made prints of animal tracks, which will serve them as an educational tool in school.
