We celebrated Sava day with information stand “Sava Biodiversity”

Dan Save 2014From Friday, 30th May 2014, to Sunday, 1st June 2014, the visitors of the exhibition in Tivoli and other passers-by saw the biodiversity of living creatures from the Sava river basin.

The three-day event dedicated to Sava river attracted around 500 curious visitors which admired live larvae of dragonflies, mayflies and caddis, decapod crustaceans, water scorpions and many other aquatic invertebrates at our information stand. Visitors learned how to distinguish between an otter, beaver, muskrat and nutria and how to detect their presence. Large number of visitors and their positive impressions shows a lot of interest in the conservation of biodiversity, which makes us very happy.

Photos from the event can be seen in the gallery.

The event was co-financed by the City of Ljubljana.
