Project team Aquaviva is doing its best to raise public awarness through different media, which enables us to reach more people.
On Tuesday, 14th January 2014 at 10.10 am, two members of project team were guests in radio show Intelekta. The show is broadcasted on 1. programme of Radio Slovenija. The guests were Marjana Hönigsfeld Adamič and Tatjana Gregorc (both from Lutra Institute) along with prof. dr. Mihael Jožef Toman from Department of Biology from Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana.
In the show, entitled "The future of beaver in Slovenia" guests talked about beaver, its role in ecosystems and our impacts on beaver's habitats - freswater and riparian zone. Beaver has an important role in freshwater, since it is also called ecosystem engineer. This means, he makes habitats appropriate for itself and also for several other organisms. The record of the show is available in the archive of RTV Slovenija (only in Slovene).
We did not only talk about biodiversity, we also wrote about it. Before the new year an article on project Aquaviva was published in 12th number of Sava Newsflash. The article, written by Marjana Hönigsfeld Adamič, is available in English (pages 24-25) and in Slovene (pages 35-36).
